The Tulsa Map®, is a free folded paper map with an online presence. A MapWorks Tulsa, Inc. project, The Tulsa Map® is created to feature a varied selection of local businesses and highlights of our culturally rich and diverse city to start you on a journey in discovering all there is to enjoy.
We believe Tulsa has something unique to offer. In an age where all of us have navigation tools readily available, we believe a map can be something more. Rather than serving as a GPS, The Tulsa Map is designed to spark conversation and inspire residents and visitors to experience Tulsa’s vibrant personality and cultural diversity by highlighting our local businesses, districts and rich history.
Changes to The Tulsa Map® will be updated every two years by a regional artist chosen by MapWorks Tulsa’s artist selection committee. An art call went out to regional Oklahoma artists in fall 2021, and Oklahoma artist and graphic designer, Lauren Mitchell, was selected through a jury panel to create the first Tulsa map.
