East Tulsa

East Tulsa is a suburban area lying roughly east of Sheridan Road, north of 41st St S, and south of Tulsa International Airport. Constructed largely in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, attractions in this part of the city include McClure Park, which is notable for its disc golf course, and the popular Admiral Twin Drive-In movie theatre. East Tulsa is also home to growing Mexican-American and Vietnamese-American populations which has spurred an array of markets, retail shops, food trucks and restaurants. There is also a large portion of Route 66 on Tulsa’s east side. Driving further east towards will lead you to the famous Blue Whale of Catoosa, one of the most recognizable attractions on historic Route 66.
